Having photographed some incredible sunrises at Great Falls in Virginia, we decided to do something different and head to Maryland for a sunset at Great Falls. When we finally got there we were greeted with an overcast sky, so we decided to take the trail out to the overlook. Today’s Photograph of the Day is from Great Falls National Park. This is one location where you have a good chance of seeing an absolutely stunning sunrise. It can be even more dramatic when the mist is rising from the Potomac.
